Blue Cat MB-5 Dynamix

Blue Cat's MB-5 Dynamix is an extremely powerful multi-functional multi-band dynamics processor: it can be used as a multi-band compressor, limiter, gate, expander, waveformer or all combined at once, anywhere of the spectrum.

Typical applications: multi-band dynamics correction and modeling, mastering, volume maximization, dynamic equalization , essing removal, pop removal, multiband wave shaping, spectrum-based side chain effects.

Detailed description

The unique dynamic processing section of Blue Cat's Dynamics plugin has been simplified and integrated into this plugin to process each of the 5 bands separately.

The plugin -in provides unique envelope detection capabilities that allow one band to activate dynamic response in others (inner side chain). Combined with advanced stereo features including mid/lateral processing and independent channel activation, it provides full control over signal dynamics for a wide range of effects.

An additional brick wall cutter / limiter protects the output for full control over dynamic response.

The plug-in provides comprehensive visual feedback so you know exactly what's happening in every step of the dynamics processor: for each channel, monitor the spectrum, input/output levels, dynamic response, compression ratio and input/output level for each band...

The user interface is designed to streamline the workflow and, despite the wide range of functionality offered by the plug-in, it is extremely easy to use. Cross-band controls (copy/paste, link...) let you create complex treatments with just a few clicks.

Thanks to its advanced MIDI output and automation features , Blue Cat's MB-5 Dynamix is capable of advanced side chaining features: you can control other plug-ins with the output of the dynamic processing stage for simple side chain dynamics effects or more advanced signal dependent effects. Check out our MB-5 Dynamix tutorials for more details.
