From laced funk guitars to vibrant disco beats to keys Fusing jazz and bombastic rock vocals, the phase shift is an extremely diverse effect that is at the center of countless records from the 1960s to today. PhaseMistress captures the sounds of legendary phasers and bundles them into a plug-in that takes this creative effect to the next level.

At Soundtoys, we have a small phaser accumulation issue. We have them stacked up in our testing room, storage room and literally lining the hallways. When designing the PhaseMistress, we carefully studied some of the best ones, such as the Bi-Phase, Boss Super Phaser, Phase 90, Moogerfooger 12 stage, Small Stone, Trine and many more. We needed to make sure that PhaseMistress got that rich, silky analog sound right. Then we went further and added deep tweaks and a range of inspiring rhythmic tools. We think you'll love what we've created.

Deeply Customisable ble

Although PhaseMistress comes with helpful presets and an easy-to-use hardware-inspired interface , we also offer deep control over the phase circuit which gives this effect its distinctive sound. You can choose from 69 different style presets that change the internal structure of the phaser. Set the number of stages, from a subtle phase of 2 stages up to 24 wild stages. You can also adjust the effect's resonance, color and intensity to create your own unique phase shift styles.

:Versatile and creative

Many phasers create their sibilant sound with the help of a humble low frequency oscillator (LFO). This is great when you want one simple scan back and forth. But what if you want something a little more out there? In PhaseMistress you can choose from a multitude of of creative LFO shapes that go beyond what you'll find in hardware - and you can even draw your own curves in the Tweak panel. For interesting robotic effects, try random mode and step mode for phase changes that bounce instead of sweep. Rhythm mode allows you to program your own rhythm patterns or choose from some great preset patterns as well. And in Envelope mode, PhaseMistress responds to the dynamics of the incoming audio, making it a seamless awesome rhythm-triggered effect for funky drum sounds, slap bass or bass guitar sounds.

It's on guitar, bass, drums, vocals (Queen, ELO, Pink Floyd, anyone?), even entire mixes.  We've heard squashed envelope drums and radio guitar out of phase. It turns out it's more powerful than we thought. This is a phase you won't grow out of.
