Fulltone Model Collection

Fulltone Immersion

IK Multimedia is proud to introduce the new Fulltone® Collection for AmpliTube for Mac /PC, which brings guitarists and all musicians a palette of essential sounds ranging from the most classic tones of the past to the most modern waves.

O guitarist Michal Fuller founded Fulltone in 1991, with the goal of building pedals that sound as good as vintage pedals, but are more robust and reliable than the old, often flimsy classics.

Today, Fulltone is recognized as one of the most serious manufacturers in the world, and IK Multimedia has teamed up with them to bring you the best recreations of 3 selected effects that you can now use directly in AmpliTube for Mac/ PC.

“Back to the Future”

The Fulltone Collection includes 3 powerful processors perfect for both music production and sound design creative ivo. Whether you're a guitarist, keyboard player, songwriter, producer, sound designer or mixing engineer, you now have 3 versatile tools at your disposal to achieve your creative dreams. The Fulltone Collection is the very best in terms of the sound, feel and feel of the original hardware, but with all the practicality of the well-known AmpliTube workflow. There's no limit to what you can do with the Fulltone Collection.

TERC – That 80's Rack Chorus!® That 80's Rack Chorus

Recreated by Fulltone and based on the original and virtually impossible to find Dyno My Piano (sold during the '80s under names like Songbird or Dytronics), TERC gives you the lush, expensive, huge and elegant sound that made it famous during the '80s. Indeed, in the common sense guitar encyclopedia, only a few types of choruses have stood the test of time, and few are immediately recognizable in the sound of the world's greatest guitarists, but only one actually achieved the status of “The Chorus from the 80s”: this is the tri-stereo chorus. International musicians such as Michael Landau, Steve Lukather, Dnan Huff and many other great session musicians chose it for a reason.

The Preset MODE, when engaged, creates a rippled and enveloping modulation effect, which is one of the most popular features of the original unit. The manual mode lets you experiment with different levels of intensity and modulation for the left, right and center channels, going from subtle to extreme, for a big, open sound that will put a smile on your face. Another peculiarity of TERC is that, even when your modulation circuit is bypassed (with Preset and Manual modes turned off) the “no modulation” state is gradually reached, creating a very subtle effect reminiscent of the decelerating rotors of a Leslie box. As a result, the clean sound still has a unique flavor even if the LFO of the chorus is no longer modulating.

Another quirk of TERC is that even when its modulation circuit is bypassed (with Preset and Manual modes off) the “no modulation” state is reached gradually, creating a very subtle effect, reminiscent of the decelerating rotors of a Leslie box. As a result, the clean sound still has a unique flavor even though the LFO of the chorus is no longer modulating.

But don't make the mistake of thinking the “rack” of '80s chorus' is just a nostalgic retro machine. Far from it. Take it to the extreme, use it on synths, vocals, and even drums (along with SSTE for pretty crazy effects) and basses and you'll understand. The machine remains modern to this day!

SSTE® – Solid State Tape Echo

It captures all the essence, warmth and vibrancy of the machine. The original vintage Echoplex EP-3 unit, but without its unavoidable drawbacks (the original unit was very noisy, with poor quality tape heads and produced a lot of hums, and the Fulltone model solved many of these problems by greatly improving the response and machine capabilities). We recreated the SSTE in virtual rack format and added a convenient BPM sync function for advanced integration with DAWs.

Feeling creative? You can play with the head of the tape moving it back and forth to produce interesting bubbly effects, or you can “just” cascade more SSTEs, each set to a different time and tape speed value to achieve unique results. It's really a matter of personal taste but, more importantly, it's something you can do on your computer and without the hassle of real tape.

And no stops there. You can take advantage of the tape's intrinsic idiosyncrasies to add authentic analog saturation to your sound, explore the harmonic personality of both the Fulltone version preamp and the original Echoplex to add color to your timbre, vary the tape response for brighter or a smooth roll-off, or even saturating the signal with effect using the “record level” to control the tape and much more!
